Join a Home Group: 21 Reasons

At Christ’s Center, we love our home groups! Here’s why…

In the book of Acts the early church gathered together in both the temple (all of the believers in one building) and in small groups in homes. Everyone was discipled in the small group setting. New believers were added, then multiplied in number, and needed to be discipled (to learn and apply) this new way of life in Jesus Christ and be led by the Holy Spirit. This process continues in the home groups at Christ’s Center.

Regular participation in home groups encourages all of us to grow up or mature into the full stature of Jesus Christ. We learn God’s voice and persevere in an obedient lifestyle through personal reading, teaching, and application of the word of God. We begin to understand that HGis character is being developed in us as we are being conformed into His image. As we put God first, everything else comes into proper order and we walk in the life Jesus desires for us.

Vibrant, Spirit led home groups have a Godly “ripple effect” on us as believers, continually impacting every area of our lives. The “ripples” continue as we learn how to be led by the Holy Spirit in interpersonal ministry and reach out to the local community and to the world.
